Can’t believe there’s a part two of this! XD

While planning our photoshoot, we discovered that there was a Woosa Pancake House near the studio, so we decided to include it in our plans. After the photoshoot, the two of us, along with the photographer Lun, went to have pancakes for dinner.

Grace even brought her little teddy to join us.

Here’s what Grace and I ordered:

Compared to our first visit, we took tons of photos this time because I got a new phone. No holding back on the photos, so there won’t be any regrets about “not taking enough pictures” this time!

Happy birthday to the Japanese white makeup artist, Minori～

To be honest, I’ve been contemplating this congratulatory illustration for quite a while, thinking about it since around November.

Initially, I considered creating not just an illustration but a small game featuring Minori as the main character, that’s what my job does(game dev). However, upon reflection, a portrait seemed to be the most direct way to express admiration for an artist who has excelled in illustration and fashion design, even though I’m not a pro illustrator.

While working on the drawing, I noticed other artists offering portrait commissions and briefly considered whether it would be quicker to commission someone else to draw Minori. However, I decided to take my time and complete it myself.

There were even moments when I thought, “Maybe the sketch looked better than the line art,” but eventually, it all came together, and I carefully applied the colors— I think it turned out okay (if I may say so myself. lol).

Though it may be clumsy, the gift is an expression of heartfelt intentions, and drawing it by hand allows me to convey my feelings and creative intent. While this drawing may not capture Minori’s cuteness entirely, I gave it my best shot.

This party I attended was the 8th-anniversary celebration of Flora Salon, that reserve the entire floor of Maid Cafe Tsukuyomi in Ximen, Taipei, Taiwan.

After the party, I also made a congratulatory photo for the shop manager, 萊姆. Wishing Flora Salon continued prosperity in the years to come~

Dreamy Pink Blossom

The style theme was “Dreamy Pink Blossoms,” for matching both the event’s dress code and the style of Flora Salon.

All of my Metamorphose Lolita are purchased from Flora Salon, who also the official Taiwan agent of Metamorphose. Even though I haven’t had a photoshoot at this salon, I still received excellent service from here.

The rose eyeshadow on my left eye represented Flora Salon’s logo.

Taking menu like this makes me feel like a one-day event maid at Maid Cafe Tsukuyomi.
(The automatic service doll in mansion, will active when lots of guest visiting.)

Before going to this party, I also took a lot of outfit photos at home.

After resigning from my office job, which I had been doing for over three years, at the end of April this year, I finally feel rejuvenated and ready to focus on my creative pursuits. I can now dedicate more time to creating beautiful looks like this one~ I’m so happy on my birthday!

Since I couldn’t fly to Japan in person to attend her birthday tea party, I handwrote a birthday card, took a photo of it, and sent it to her via private message. (She received the version with the message written inside.)
I hope her birthday tea party goes smoothly, that all her wishes come true, and that my heartfelt thoughts and blessings reach her as well~

This Woosa pancake house gathering was organized by my lolita fashion friend, 羽月千早. Let me start with the group photo:

Because we are Lolita enthusiasts, the dress code prioritizes lolita fashion. And the punchline is that there is one person in this group photo spent five hours doing shironuri makeup just to come for Woosa! (lol)

“Yes, I have absolutely no regrets. XD”

So, what’s about the food?

Woosa’s specialty is cloud-like fluffy pancakes, generously drizzled with lots of cream sauce. Not only are they my favorite type of pancakes, but they also belong to the most luxurious and dreamy type. However, I’ve never actually had the chance to try them before. With great anticipation for this first experience and with many friends joining together, I wanted to make it very ceremonious.

I ordered the pancake with lemon sauce & vanilla ice cream, with rose black tea. (NTD $280 + 10%)

Before coming here, my usual preference was for American-style thin pancakes drenched in maple syrup or honey, and I enjoy waffles, too.

However, I known a whole new genre of pancakes after eating this pancake, that tasted somewhat like Chinese steamed egg, in the shape of pancakes, fluffy, and delightfully sweet. They were so delicious that I felt a bit intoxicated by the experience.

I broke my ketogenic diet~

Woosa’s pancakes are truly amazing, but a big part of why I felt intoxicated was because I’ve been following a strict ketogenic diet for most of this year to lose weight. This means I can’t have any of the three main components of pancakes (flour, cream, and sugar). How cruel this temptation is, and today, indulging in these pancakes is like breaking all the rules.

Yet, it’s Woosa we’re talking about, that hard-to-resist and hard-to-book Woosa. Breaking the diet is simply inevitable in the face of such luxurious desserts.

Hard to book, also need a plan B

Based on my experience, Woosa is not easy to get a seat, not only this store near Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei, but also at the two times I passed by the Woosa in Qsquare near Taipei Main Station. Even if you pick up a number, you could wait in the line for a long time. (And last failed to get dine there.)

This time, the organizer made an early reservation, but even when the reserved time arrived, the place was still fully booked, and we couldn’t get in. So, we decided to go to the nearby cafe to have coffee and wait for about an hour until our turn came to enter and dine. Woosa is indeed a popular store, maybe too popular. But after all, we did dine there and took many photos. It was truly fantastic!

Conclusion

This rare and delightful experience of light and fluffy pancakes is worth dressing up and heading there with a sense of ceremony (but always need a plan B). Woosa for me, is exactly this kind of place.

Before leaving, don’t forget to take a photo with the Woosa mural on the restaurant’s wall~
